Graceful
bodies, splendid dresses and wonderful dances, this is our image of the ballet,
seen as a noble occupation, for chosen people. Few are the ones who manage to
get through a certain level in the ballet. And fewer are the ones who manage to
make a career in this field. Although it is predominantly dominated by girls,
the ballet scene has conquered and many boys who have been enchanted by the art
of this dance.
- The age at which the training starts is very important. If you want a possible ballet career for your baby, consider training that needs to be started from very young ages. However, extreme wrists, as is the case with ballet, can be harmful in the long run, if they take place before full body development. For a 7-8-year-old, ballet is a too big effort that could cause problems later with your back, knees and hips.
- Because the age at which children are enrolled in ballet classes is very tender, it is very likely that young people are forced to follow a strict program that does not allow them to live their childhood as normal. Children taking ballet lessons must strictly observe the schedule and have a mental iron discipline. If you want to enroll your child in ballet at early ages, the recommendation is to opt for courses for preschoolers, which are much less strict and combine classic ballet with other more fun moves.
- You have to decide if you send your child to a professional or a recreational ballet school, because the program, the requirements and the goals between the two types of schools are very different. The recommendation is to start with something easier to see if the little one really likes this activity. Stronger rules and busy schedule from professional schools are common reasons babies give up ballet.
- If the child does not seem to want to attend ballet classes for children, give up the idea and let him do what he likes.
